In academic
writing I have learned many new things. It can be from the smallest things like
the oxford comma, (which we don’t have in Norway,) to using rhetoric. I realize
that the grammar rules is not the same as in Norway, and some things we would
see as wrong in our writing-language is right here. Which surprises me because
the languages are actually very much alike. I learned how we could find genres
in writing too, we looked at many cool videos and decided movie genres, music genres,
and in the end I realized that it is just the same thing when it comes to
writing. There are some pattern or a recipe when making different types of
writing. I think the professional E-mail was really helpful, because when your
are making a professional email it should be precise and short, and that can be
a challenge.
I think the professional email assignment was defiantly helpful to us because I used not care about writing a professional emails and I used not separate to whom im sending the email to my friends or my boss all the same but I learned I have to be professional and write a different style of language when I send an email to a professional people for example my boss or if you applying for a job but, now I really care about to whom im sending the email and try to be professional.
